Today as I entered the final stages of my home projects (2nd coats of paint), I proceeded to enjoy some Sunday football as the paint dried. Not being one to sit around much lately, I kept the TV on in the background and looked around for something else to do on the project list. Since I was waiting on the last coat of paint to dry, I was left to either watch football, watch paint dry, or create a new tutorial. Creativity won out, so here’s the latest installment for the video tutorial series…creating globes via special effects in the program we all know and love – Photoshop! Enjoy, and I’ll post back later this week with the series of home improvement projects I’ve been working on so much lately.
These are useful tutorials. Your explanations through your workflow are clear. Thought I’d let you know.
I would love to know something about using image ready to chop up graphics in to many pieces for display in a web page format. Does this make sense? Basically, I’d like to be able to cut up a whole visual representation of my web page that’s created as an image in Photoshop.
Thanks for the info. I bookmarked your page. 🙂
Thanks for the feedback Paul. As for ImageReady tutorials on how to slice an image prepped for a web template, I know exactly what you are talking about, but I would be hesitant at explaining it as I don’t use IR a lot…I primarily use Photoshop as an accessory to my photography, and I’ve been showing a few tidbits about using that application as a tool for that means. I would suggest googling the term “website layout ImageReady tutorials” and you will find many sites that can probably assist. The one I use to promote and share my vids is http://www.good-tutorials.com I’ve seen a few there that are very helpful in that regard. Give them a look and see if they could help you.
